4th of July Celebrations Across the Piedmont Triad: Fireworks, Festivals & Family Fun!

There’s something magical about the way the Piedmont Triad lights up for the 4th of July. From small-town parades and patriotic concerts to dazzling fireworks displays and community cookouts, our region knows how to celebrate Independence Day in style — and often, for free!

We’ve rounded up some of the biggest and brightest 4th of July events happening all across our 12-county region — including a few early birds and extended celebrations you won’t want to miss.

Saturday, June 28

• Rural Hall – RuralFEST 2025 (10am–9:30pm)
  A full day of music, food, and fireworks in this fun community celebration.
• 🎶 Lewisville – Special Independence Day Tribute Concert (7–9pm) at Shallowford Square
  A musical salute to America’s birthday under the stars.
• 🎡 Troy – TroyFest (Day 1/2) kicks off with vendors, rides, and evening fun.

Sunday, June 29

• 🎆 Troy – TroyFest (Day 2/2) continues with more fun and fireworks.
• 🎉 Lewisville – Independence Day Celebration (12:30–1:30pm) — a fun midday gathering for families.

Thursday, July 3

• 🎇 Guilford County (Browns Summit) – Fireworks Extravaganza (5–10pm)
  One of the region’s largest displays, perfect for families.  (This is the only event listed with an admission fee:  $10 per car or $1 per person walk-up.)
• 🎶 Burlington – July 3rd in the Park (5–9:30pm)
  Live music, food trucks, and fireworks to kick off your long weekend.

Friday, July 4

• 🎉 Downtown Greensboro – Freedom Fest (1–6pm)
  Music, vendors, and fireworks in the heart of the city.
• 🎇 Mount Airy – 4th of July Celebration (10am–9:30pm)
  Small-town spirit and big-time fireworks in Andy Griffith’s hometown.
• 🎆 Kernersville – Starting with a parade in Downtown Kernersville at 9am and finishing with Concert & Fireworks (5–10pm) at Kernersville Raiders Field.  A community favorite!
• 🌭 Archdale – Food Trucks & Fireworks (5:30–9:30pm) at Creekside Park
  Bring your blankets and appetites.
• 🎶 Mebane – Independence Day Celebration (5:30–10pm)
  Live music and family fun leading up to the fireworks.
• 🎇 Yadkinville – Independence Day Celebration (5–7pm) — and it continues the next day!

Saturday, July 5

• 🎆 Yadkinville – Independence Day Celebration Continues (5–10pm)
  Can’t make it on the 4th? You’ve still got a chance to celebrate.
• 🎸 Mocksville – Independence Celebration & Concert in the Park (5–11pm)
  Bring the whole crew — food, live music, and fireworks make this a must-do.
• 🎶 Mount Airy – Fourth Fest (4-9pm with fireworks at 9pm)
  Fireworks, vendors, bounce houses, kids activities, photo ops, and more.
