If you're looking for a screen-free summer adventure that’s fun, free, and full of books, this one’s for you. The Greensboro Summer Reading Trail is officially underway, and we think it’s one of the sweetest ways to explore the city, support local businesses, and keep the kids reading all summer long. 💛 So… What’s the Reading Trail? Think of it like a literary scavenger hunt across Greensboro! From June 1 through July 31, families can visit participating local businesses, where each stop features a book to enjoy; either a picture book to read together or a shared chapter book (same one at every location, so you can read a little more with each visit!). All you have to do is:

Happy reading, adventuring, and memory-making! 💛 School’s out, and if you’re wondering how to keep the kids entertained without blowing your summer budget, we’ve got great news! Two local theaters are making movie magic happen for FREE all summer long! Both The Grand Winston-Salem (on University Parkway) and AmStar Four Seasons Station (on Vanstory Street in Greensboro) are hosting Free Summer Kids Movies every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m., beginning June 3 through July 30. These family-friendly flicks feature everyone’s favorite animated stars — from Minions to Mutant Turtles — and the best part? No ticket cost! Just show up the morning of the movie and snag your seats (first come, first served at the box office).
