Spooktacular Free Fun in the Piedmont Triad: Oct 24-30, 2025

Hey, Triad families! Fall’s in full swing, and the Piedmont’s serving up a killer lineup of free Halloween events that’ll make your week unforgettable. Think trunk-or-treats, pumpkin bashes, and festivals bursting with local charm—all without spending a penny.

Kick off Friday, Oct 24, with spooky vibes at the Downtown Graham Pumpkin Bash or Asheboro’s BOO Fest, where costumes and candy steal the show. Saturday, Oct 25, cranks it up with the Lexington Barbeque Festival (cue the BBQ drool) and family-friendly faves like the Swepsonville Pumpkin Festival or trunk-or-treats from Alamance to Yadkin. Don’t sleep on Winston-Salem’s Skybound Flight Festival (we'll be there!) for some high-flying fun or Reidsville’s Children’s Fall Festival for the little ghouls.

Sunday, Oct 26, keeps the party going with Greensboro’s Howl-o-ween (bring your furry friends!) and more trunk-or-treats to keep the Halloween spirit alive. Midweek, grab quick hits like Kernersville’s Moms’ Morning Meetup on Tuesday or Lewisville’s Yoga in the Square on Thursday. For more Halloween thrills, Reidsville and Graham’s downtown trick-or-treats on Wednesday and Thursday will have everyone grinning ear to ear.

With over 100 free events across our region, the Triad’s community spirit is on full display. As a mom who’s been chasing these freebies for 15 years, I’m obsessed with how they bring us together for laughter, creativity, and that warm, fuzzy feeling of home.

Pro tip: All events on our calendar are free and open to the community, but there will usually be items, activities, and/or food/drinks available for purchase. It's always a good idea to check with the venue directly or arrive early for popular events—parking fills up fast at the big festivals and events!
