The Gibsonville Merchant’s Association invites you for a night out in Gibsonville at the annual “Lighting of the Green” on November 16 from 5:30 – 8:30pm. Many of our downtown shops will be open and welcome you. Enjoy a hayride (donations go to the Empty Stocking Fund) and be sure to see the miniature garden trains. Santa and his elves, Mrs. Claus, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph will be on the streets to entertain the little ones!

Twinkling lights, festive decorations, carriage rides (Friday night and Saturday afternoon), Santa, annual tree lighting on Friday night, kids zone activities, and strolling carolers are only a hint of what you will find at "A Hometown Holiday Celebration" -- Downtown Mebane's two-day holiday open house. There will also be delicious holiday treats, music & art events, marshmallow roast, and shopping & dining specials. 10am-8pm. Rain or Shine. Most events are free. Nominal charge for carriage rides.

November 23, 3pm: Holiday Festival Parade. Celebrate the holiday season with the High Point Holiday Festival Parade. The High Point community has ushered in the Christmas season with this event since 1925. The celebration will kick into high gear at 3:00 pm as scores of floats, marching bands, community groups and more delight your senses as the parade marches up Main Street from Green Drive to Montlieu Avenue. Immediately following the parade will be the community tree lighting ceremony at the High Point Public Library.

The only Christmas parade around where you can see dancing horses and candy is still thrown along with traditional favorites like floats, tractors, cars, public safety vehicles, and more! The parade occurs on Main Street between Surry Community College and Town Hall. The Tree lighting will take place immediately after the parade at Town Hall. Food vendors will serve a variety of foods and beverages at Town Hall just before the tree lighting!
